Our expertise and system knowledge enable us to create a tailored system solution using highly efficient materials, designed to meet your unique operational requirements.
We are developing a technology to optimize materials for higher performance, longer life cycles, and safer, more sustainable energy storage systems.
Gas Storage in Advanced Materials
Our team is currently involved in several projects focused on the development of efficient gas storage solutions using advanced porous materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs, more details below. We are collaborating with renowned research partners such as NMBU, IFE, University of Toronto or SINTEF to develop the next generation of materials with excellent performance in the field of hydrogen storage and CO2 capture.
Our material selection process is based on a holistic approach that considers a range of crucial factors at various stages of the design process. We evaluate materials based on their intrinsic properties, as well as their performance metrics, and ensure that the final system meets the technical, economic, and environmental standards required for its intended purpose.
Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are a family of advanced materials with more than 100.000 different structures. They have been reported to have high performance for many different applications, from gas storage to functional materials in electrochemical systems. This is due to their exceptionally high surface area and their ability for customization for different use cases. We are testing them both for hydrogen storage, natural gas transport and CO2 capture.
