We have officially launched our CLIMIT-Demo project with Gassnova, focused on bottom-up materials design for next-generation CO₂ capture. In this project, we deploy our AI-guided discovery platform to design and optimise advanced adsorbent materials, engineered at the molecular level and tailored to real industrial CO₂ streams.
By combining computational modelling, machine learning, and materials informatics, we aim to accelerate the identification of high-performance adsorbents that reduce energy penalties, improve the key material properties, and lower system-level capture costs.
The objective is to bridge the gap between computational discovery and industrial validation, enabling scalable and cost-efficient CO₂ capture solutions.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening Norway’s leadership in advanced carbon capture technologies.
