Founder & CEO Maryam Ghadrdan was named one of Norway's 50 leading tech women 2026 by Abelia and ODA-Nettverk. Outside recognition of the work behind Planck: co-designing advanced materials and the systems they run in as a single problem.

New ESA project awarded

The European Space Agency awarded Planck a project to advance next-generation oxygen storage for space missions: safer, more efficient technologies for space exploration, with promising applications on Earth as well.

Industry

Customer project on CO₂ capture completed

Delivered on time and in scope: AI-driven screening of advanced materials for the customer's flue-gas CO₂ capture process, compared across material families on their KPIs, with follow-on activities now being explored.

Following conversations on adsorbed oxygen storage for space, Planck pitched at ESA's Online Pitch Day for the FIRST! Simulation and Intelligence call, opening discussions with space-sector companies, investors, and startups.

2025 Visionary Award at the LLM Hackathon for Materials and Chemistry

Won with partners at the global competition of 1,000+ researchers, for Forja de Materia AI, a RAG-powered tool that turns scientific papers into structured, machine-readable datasets through natural-language queries.

MOFs get the Nobel Prize in Chemistry

The 2025 prize went to Kitagawa, Robson, and Yaghi for metal-organic frameworks, the material family at the heart of Planck's platform. Our mission is exactly this: bringing Nobel-worthy materials out of the lab and into real-world systems.

We contributed to the national strategy for quantum technology

Consulted as subject-matter experts for Norway's National Quantum Technology Strategy, advocating quantum computing's role in materials design for energy, accessible test infrastructure, and a focus on Norway's existing strengths.

We keep developing our tool

A curated database of ~2,000 advanced materials (MOFs, COFs, and more) now drives CO₂ capture work, optimizing purity, recovery, energy, and productivity. Current focus: the impact of water vapour on optimal capture-system design.

Funding

Two project applications granted & new collaborators

Horizon Europe and Research Council of Norway applications both succeeded: about €6M to international consortia for bioenergy with CO₂ capture and storage (RCN) and hydrogen storage (Horizon Europe), with Planck commercializing the RCN outcome.
